How is YES! expanding influence nationally?

For the next growth phase of YES! Young Enough to Serve, YES! will expand through student ministry outreaches of multiple Christian colleges and universities in the United States.  YES! equips college students, some of the most energetic people in the world, to help energize the hearts of adults in life’s second half—toward serving and away from generational and congregational isolation.

Why Christian college campuses?

YES! is targeting Christian college campuses as platforms for ministry.  At first glance, this approach may appear illogical.  Wait a minute!  I thought YES! is focusing on adults in life’s second half.  Most of them are out of college by now!

What will they do?
In each community, YES! ministry teams collaborate with local churches, targeting untapped serving potential among second half/senior adults.

Which campuses?
 
Initial campus launches will be on the West Coast.  Several sites are currently being considered.
 
When will YES! expand? 
The needs are great.  Every day over 10,000 adults in America turn 65.  Many are not yet
committed to
Christ.  And many Christians in their second half of life have a diminishing vision of their own serving potential and a deepening attachment to idleness.
Generational gaps are growing, both inside and outside the Church.
Growth opportunities for YES! are uniquely presenting themselves now, in ways not envisioned earlier.
Imagine more Christians passionate about fruitfulness in their later years. 
Imagine younger generations challenged to value older generations more.  
Imagine individuals and churches becoming more concerned about the interests of other individuals, churches, and ministries.
YES! has dozens of ongoing financial supporters—individuals, churches and other organizations—contributing in a monthly range of $10 to $500.  Nearly a quarter of the support comes from individuals under 50 years of age, determined to make a difference in the lives of adults on the plus side of 50.  This support is extremely gratifying, coupled with an even larger team of individuals praying regularly for the ministry of YES! Young Enough to Serve.  
Here’s the challenge. YES! needs a stronger financial base to expand geographically.  Will you help YES! move quickly into new areas of opportunity?
