The next annual YES! trip to Gleanings will be February 21-26, 2027, arriving Sunday late afternoon (4-6 PM) and departing Friday morning after breakfast and chapel (@ approximately 10 AM).
Gleanings is a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) base in Dinuba, California, located just south of Fresno. Cost for the week is $170, including great meals and comfortable lodging.
While YES! nudges older adults toward serving, we thrive when serving alongside other generations. Families with parent/grandparent supervision are welcome, and discounts are available for children ages 6-12.
YES! has trekked to Gleanings every year since 2008.
For those traveling from out of state, we recommend flying into the Fresno Airport and arranging ground transportation from there (with possible help from other YES! volunteers), OR flying into a Bay Area (northern CA) or Southern California airport and renting a vehicle from there (less expensive flights but the additional cost of a rental car).
In addition to the dried soup production plant, many volunteers serve faithfully in a brand new adjacent quilting room.
