GO FOR THE HANDS AND FEET

Highlight inspiring stories of serving. Use them to help nudge others who are not yet convinced serving and retirement should coexist. They've got to see joy and meaning in the serving. Any sense of drudgery or obligatory bondage may be viewed as unwelcome hindrances to their retirement plans.

Here’s a quick City Impact foot-washing clip where a YES! team served with some younger adults on the streets of San Francisco.

Serving may have moments of challenge and frustration but also times of spontaneous, unexpected joy. Find ways to promote the joy!!! Serving is NOT the 'no-fun zone'! Look at those faces. No shortage of joy here!

Pray regularly and fervently with those who get it, asking the Lord to allow this part of His tribe to increase. Do some 'reverse engineering' interviews with those who can't seem to get enough of serving. What makes them tick? What led them to this open serving posture during their retirement years?
