Pointing People to the Greatest Gift: Carey Gregory
Operation Christmas Child focuses on evangelism, discipleship and multiplication. The gift boxes are a "tangible expression of God's love through a gift that points them to the Greatest Gift - which is Jesus."
Carey is Church Relations Manager, Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child (part of Samaritan's Purse) annually engages over 9000 volunteers, many of whom are adults in life's second half. Over the last 23 years they have distributed a staggering number of shoebox gifts to children around the world---over 135 million!
This incredible ministry focuses on evangelism, discipleship and multiplication. The gift boxes are a "tangible expression of God's love through a gift that points them to the Greatest Gift - which is Jesus."
As a result of these God-ordained efforts, three million children enrolled this year in The Greatest Journey discipleship classes.
If you or your church are not already involved with this ministry, we highly encourage you to dive in! We've witnessed life transformation firsthand on both sides of these shoeboxes, from those passionately involved in giving of their time and other resources here in the US---to the smiling faces of children in the jungles of Guyana.
Flourishing in Life, Love and Service: Linda Arzouni
"Feeling awkward is normal!"---one good lesson of many Linda learned through cross-cultural ministry. Feeling awkward? So what! It's normal. Accept it and move on! :)
"Feeling awkward is normal!"---one good lesson of many Linda learned through cross-cultural ministry. Feeling awkward? So what! It's normal. Accept it and move on! :)
Through God's grace Linda stands ready to boldly address whatever God places on her path, whether it be in West Africa or currently in the Western United States. From teaching women in a French-speaking nation in Africa---to caring for her elderly father---to reaching out to a young girl a nearby high school, Linda embraces these God-ordained opportunities with joy. She knows these acts of serving are significant, no matter where she is geographically.
While accommodating differences in culture, Linda has learned to maintain the offensive, moving beyond differences to a huge common denominator: our desire to restore broken relationships---most importantly our broken relationship with God healed through Jesus.

Twenty-Five Countries and Counting: Ken & Anita Holzhei
Look at what that initial obedient 'YES' can lead to!
Ken & Anita encourage you to take that first step. Don't concentrate on what you can't do but on what you can do.
Look at what an initial obedient 'YES' can lead to! On the first missions trip, Ken ventured out without Anita, who initially said 'No'. With God's prompting, favor and equipping they've now served in 25 countries.
As they pursue each new adventure, they've learned that God wants to build something new in them and the people they serve . . . it's not just about completing projects. In addition to utilizing Ken's business background, Ken & Anita both learned how to teach English as a second language---which continues to open doors for relationships and ministry both here and outside the United States.
They encourage you to take that first step. Don't concentrate on what you can't do but on what you can do.
