Ten Thousand Reasons: Erica Capri
This dramatic testimony shared by Erica Capri about her husband Joe is inspiring on many levels.
Need a reason to believe people in their seventies and later can become increasingly fruitful?
How 'bout 10,000 reasons?!
Ever wonder if people over fifty can be reached for Christ?
Need a reason to believe people in their seventies and later can become increasingly fruitful?
How 'bout 10,000 reasons?!
This dramatic testimony shared by Erica Capri about her husband Joe is inspiring on many levels. We've shared Joe's story in writing earlier, but now hear it firsthand from the lips of our precious friend Erica.
Consider personally how you might respond to an ultimatum similar to: "Serve Me now or I'll take you home." As powerful as Joe's personal conversion testimony was, we're so glad the story didn't stop there.

Living Outside Ourselves: Candace Sistig Gaeta
Candace shares how she and her husband have continued to find opportunities to minister both inside and outside their family.
Candace shares how God continues to pave fresh, new avenues of ministry in their later seasons of life. She and her husband, Art, moved a few years ago from California to Arizona. They are now blessed to live very close to eight of their 21 grandchildren.
Described by others as a "mom magnet", Candace has a steady stream of young women coming to her for godly counsel. And at the age of seventy, Art recently flunked retirement and is now immersed in a new career, teaching Spanish at the junior high level for the first time.
Art and Candace are great examples of resilient adults who look for immediate, practical ministry possibilities. Continuing to live outside themselves, they reside far beyond the walls of self-pity and choose to be young enough to serve!
Start With Better Questions: Wes Wick
If we're falling short of God's best in engaging the serving potential of our older adults, could it be that we got off on the wrong foot by asking the wrong questions?
Included in this podcast are a couple seemingly innocent questions that often lead to churches squelching and squandering the serving potential of adults in their later years.
Lethal Questions
"In whom should our church invest, young people or older adults?"
"I've been asked to lead activities for the 50+ age group at my church. 'What do seniors like to do?'"
Better Questions Flowing from a Biblical Base
Since starting YES! just over seven years ago, Wes & Judy have discovered through Scripture some better questions that lead to healthier churches:
How can we get the whole body solidly behind each generation?
How can we equip each generation to value and serve the whole body, not just their own generation?
With the gift of better health and longevity, what is God calling us to do, individually and collectively, in these later years of life?
How can we best use our remaining time, energy, resources, talent, wisdom, and life experience to make disciples?
